Continuous fill and drain

Washer-dryer continuously takes in and drains water

What does Continuous fill and drain mean?

The appliance repeatedly fills with water and then drains it immediately without completing a wash cycle. This often indicates problems with the drainage system's installation.

Common Causes

  • The drain hose is not fitted at a height between 65 and 100 cm from the floor.
  • The free end of the drain hose is submerged under water.
  • The wall drainage system is not fitted with a breather pipe.
  • Dwelling is on an upper floor, possibly causing drainage problems.
