Error 384 - False Flame Detected

What does 384 mean?

This error code indicates that the boiler's flame detection system is detecting a flame when none should be present, or at an inappropriate time. The boiler's display will show the spanner symbol and the numeric error code.

Common Causes

  • Faulty flame sensor or electrode
  • Moisture or debris affecting the electrode
  • Control board malfunction

    Press the 'R' (reset) button firmly for several seconds to attempt to clear the fault.

    If the error persists, turn off the boiler's electrical supply at the isolation switch for 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
