What does 5246 mean?

The electrical heater's overheating protector or the heating system's pressure guard (MC1) has been triggered. This can be due to low pressure (<0.5 bar) or overheating.

Common Causes

  • Low system pressure
  • Air in the heating system
  • Clogged filterball SC1
  • Bad circulation in heating system
  • Blown fuse F1 or F50
  • Defective system pressure guard MC1
  • Defective overheating protector
  • Missing PWM signal or 230V supply for circulation pump PC0
  • Defective circulation pump
  • Jammed contactor for electrical heater

    De-air the heating system and refill if necessary.

    Clean the filter ball SC1 on the return pipe.

  3. 3

    Check heating system adjustment valves and thermostats.

    Replace fuse F1 or F50 if blown.

    Verify the breaking temperature of the overheating protector (96°C).

  6. 6

    Ensure 230V supply to the circulation pump PC0 and check the PWM signal.
