Tableware not dry

Tableware is not dry - Insufficient rinse aid or incorrect program/settings

Bosch · Dishwashers Series 6

What does Tableware not dry mean?

Dishes and cutlery remain wet after the wash cycle, which can be due to a lack of rinse aid, improper program selection, or incorrect loading.

Common Causes

  • No rinse aid used or dosage set too low.
  • Programme or programme option has no drying phase, or the drying phase is too brief.
  • Some option buttons decrease the drying result (e.g., varioSpeed).
  • Tableware positioned at an angle where water collects in recesses.
  • The combined detergent used has a poor drying performance.
  • Extra Dry function not activated.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Add rinse aid if needed, and set the amount of rinse aid to be dispensed (Page 28, Page 29).

  2. 2

Select a programme with a drying phase (e.g., intensive, strong, ECO) and avoid options that decrease drying results.

  3. 3

Position tableware at an angle where possible, and arrange cutlery individually to avoid contact points and allow water to run off.

  4. 4

Activate the 'Extra Dry' function if available.

  5. 5

Wait until the programme ends and only remove tableware 30 minutes after the programme has ended.

  6. 6

Consider using a different combined detergent or a name-brand rinse aid with better drying performance.
