Door cannot be opened - Programme, temperature, or water level issue

What does Door cannot open mean?

The appliance door remains locked and cannot be opened. This occurs when a programme is paused on Rinse Hold, the water temperature is too high, the water level is too high, or during a power failure.

• Rinse Hold is activated.
• The temperature in the drum is too high.
• Water level in the drum is too high.
• Power failure.

   If 'Rinse Hold' is activated, continue the programme by selecting 'Spin' or 'Drain' and pressing 'Start / Reload' (refer to Page 36).

   If the temperature is too high, wait until the water temperature has dropped to a safe level.

   If the water level is too high, start the 'Drain' programme to empty the drum.

   In case of a power failure, use the emergency release function to open the door (refer to Page 58).
