Code 16 — Communication Error/Loss

What does 16 mean?

This code indicates a loss of communication between system components such as the Fan Coil, GeoHP, 18VS, 19VS/V-HP/AC, Greenspeed/Extreme, or Infinity/Evolution ODU units. The system cannot properly exchange information.

• Loose or damaged communication wiring
• Power interruption to one of the communicating components
• Faulty control board in a communicating component
• Software glitch requiring a reset

   Check that all internal and external HVAC units have power.

   Turn off the power to the entire HVAC system at the main circuit breaker for 30 seconds.

   Restore power and allow the system time to re-establish communication.

   If the error persists, contact a qualified HVAC technician to inspect the wiring and control boards.
