Code 16 — Communication Error/Loss

What does 16 mean?

This code indicates a loss of communication between system components such as the Fan Coil, GeoHP, 18VS, 19VS/V-HP/AC, Greenspeed/Extreme, or Infinity/Evolution ODU units. The system cannot properly exchange information.

Common Causes

  • Loose or damaged communication wiring
  • Power interruption to one of the communicating components
  • Faulty control board in a communicating component
  • Software glitch requiring a reset
