Whirlpool · Washing Machines

Was bedeutet Door Stuck Open ?

The dishwasher control detects that the door switch is stuck open, preventing the cycle from starting. This can be caused by the door not latching properly, a faulty switch, or loose wiring.

Häufige Ursachen

  • Door not latched within 4 seconds of pressing Start/Resume
  • Loose connection in the door switch circuit
  • Door switch contacts stuck open
  • Sloppy door latch assembly
  • Faulty door switch (high resistance)

Reparaturschritte & Checkliste

Klicken Sie auf Schritte, um Ihren Fortschritt zu verfolgen.

  1. 1

Ensure the door is properly latched. Check for interference from dish racks.

  2. 2

Inspect the strike plate and door closure force. Adjust the strike plate if necessary for better engagement.

  3. 3

    Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.

  4. 4

Check resistances of the door switch contacts and all connections in the door switch circuit while opening and closing the door.

  5. 5

If resistance is high when the door is closed, check or fix loose connections. Replace the latch assembly if it is broken.

  6. 6

If no voltage (13 VDC across P9-5 and P9-6) is present with the door open, replace the control board.
