   Run the Service Diagnostics to check OWI operation. It should detect low soil in clear water.

   Clean the OWI lens surface if it appears dirty.

   Disconnect the drain hose at the plumbing connection.

   Elevate the hose above the dishwasher and fill it with water. If water flows back into the dishwasher, the drain loop needs replacement.

   Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power and check connections in the soil sensing circuit.

   After replacing the OWI sensor, run Diagnostics to force calibration on the next wash cycle.
