What does Rattling and clanking noise mean?

This noise indicates that foreign objects such as coins or safety pins might be loose inside the drum or pump, or metal fasteners on clothing items are hitting the wash drum.

   Stop the washer and check the drum for any foreign objects; remove any found.

   If no objects are found in the drum, perform a cycle with an empty drum. If noise continues, an item may be in the pump.

   To prevent future noise and damage, fasten all buckles and metal fasteners on clothing, and turn items inside out before washing.

   If the noise persists after checking the drum and running an empty cycle, service may be required.
