Improperly installed or taped vents, or using the wrong type of ducting, can lead to poor drying performance and create a fire hazard. The dryer must be vented to the outdoors.

   Use rigid or semi-rigid metal ducting.

   Ensure all duct joints are sealed with duct tape.

   Position the dryer so the exhaust duct run is as short as possible.

   Make sure the vent end faces the outside of the home.

   Clean old ducts before installing the new dryer.
