GE Appliances · Washing Machines
The washer is making unusual noises during operation. This can be due to the washer not being level, an unbalanced load, or shipping materials.
Click steps to track your progress.
Make sure the washer is level and firm on the floor.
Push the Cycle knob in to stop the washer, open the lid, redistribute the load evenly, close the lid, and restart.
Remove the shipping rod on the bottom right side of the washer before sliding it into place. Do not use the washer with the shipping rod in place.
A gurgling, 'sucking' sound prior to the spin cycle is normal and will stop when the spin cycle begins.
