Uneven mowing

Uneven mowing results — Inconsistent lawn appearance

husqvarna · Automower 310/315/315x

What does Uneven mowing mean?

The lawn does not have a uniform cut, with some areas appearing longer or less frequently mowed than others. This can be due to insufficient operating time, poor navigation settings, dull blades, or improper cutting height.

Common Causes

  • Mower operates too few hours per day
  • Work area shape requires 'Lawn Coverage' function for remote areas
  • 'How often?' setting is incorrect for the work area layout
  • Work area is too large for the current schedule
  • Dull or damaged blades
  • Grass is too long for the current cutting height setting
  • Accumulation of grass around the blade disc or motor shaft

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Increase the daily mowing time in the schedule settings (page 24) to allow for more coverage.

  2. 2

If your lawn has remote or complex areas, activate and configure the 'Lawn Coverage' function (page 27) to guide the mower to these spots.

  3. 3

Verify that the 'How often?' setting is appropriate for your lawn's size and complexity.

  4. 4

Check the sharpness of the blades. If they are dull or chipped, replace all blades (page 41) for a clean cut.

  5. 5

If the grass is very long, temporarily increase the cutting height and then gradually lower it over subsequent mowing cycles.

  6. 6

Turn off the mower and inspect the blade disc and motor shaft for accumulated grass or debris. Clean them to ensure free rotation.
