No loop signal

No loop signal — Boundary wire or power issue

husqvarna · Automower 430xh/450xh

What does No loop signal mean?

The robotic mower cannot detect the boundary wire signal. This often indicates a power problem with the charging station or a break in the boundary wire. Check the charging station's LED status for more clues.

Common Causes

  • The power supply or low-voltage cable is not connected or is damaged.
  • The boundary wire is not connected to the charging station or is broken.
  • ECO mode is activated and the product attempted to start outside the charging station.
  • Boundary wire is crossed around an island or the product is too far from the wire.
  • Disturbances from metal objects (fences, reinforcement steel) or buried cables nearby.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Examine the LED status on the charging station. If the LED is not lit, check the power outlet connection and if a residual-current device is engaged.

  2. 2

Make sure the low-voltage cable is connected to the charging station. Replace the power supply or low-voltage cable if damaged.

  3. 3

Ensure boundary wire connectors are fitted properly to the charging station. Replace connectors if damaged.

  4. 4

If the charging station LED indicates a boundary wire break, locate and replace the damaged section using an original coupler.

  5. 5

If ECO mode is active, place the product in the charging station and start it. Generate a new loop signal if needed.

  6. 6

Check the boundary wire layout to ensure it's not crossed, especially around islands, and that the product is within 35 m / 115 ft of the wire. Consider moving the boundary wire or creating more islands if disturbances are suspected.
