Both lamps not working

husqvarna · Workshop manual

What does Both lamps not working mean?

Neither of the machine's lamps (lights) are working. This suggests a common issue affecting both lights, such as a disabled switch, a blown fuse, low battery voltage, or a wiring problem common to both lamps.

Common Causes

  • Lamps switch is deactivated.
  • Blown 5A 'Fuse Light'.
  • Low battery voltage.
  • Wiring fault.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Make sure the switch for the lamps is activated.

  2. 2

Check and replace the 5A 'Fuse Light' if it is blown.

  3. 3

Measure the voltage on J2 (pin 3) with the key in the 'ON' position; it should match battery voltage. Charge the battery if low.

  4. 4

Inspect the orange and blue cables and connectors from J2 to the switch for the lamps for any damage.

  5. 5

Check the cabling as indicated in steps 10 and 11 (referring to wiring checks for the PTO button and starter relay circuit). Repair or replace as needed.
