If '88' is displayed after entering diagnostic mode, it indicates the last recorded error code is stored in the control's memory. If anything else is displayed, that is the error code.

If '88' is shown, try to access older stored codes by rotating the control knob.

Once the error code is identified, proceed with troubleshooting steps for that code.
Clear the error code by pressing and holding the START button for 3 seconds.
