KitchenAid · Microwave Combination Oven
This error indicates a problem with the microwave oven's internal relay, specifically Relay 4903. This relay is crucial for the proper operation of the microwave functions.
Click steps to track your progress.
Turn off the oven power at the circuit breaker, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
Place a microwave-safe cup of water in the microwave cavity to provide a load.
Ensure the oven door interlock switches are working correctly: when the door is open, the microwave light should be on; when closed, the light should be off.
Start a microwave cooking function and allow it to run for 1 minute to check if the error reappears.
Enter Diagnostics mode by pressing CANCEL>CANCEL>START, then press the 3 or 6 keypad to scroll to the Faults screen and verify the E4 error code.
If the error persists after these checks, the Microwave Appliance Manager may need professional inspection.
