The drying performance can be affected by issues with the exhaust vent system. Lint buildup, incorrect vent material, or improper installation can lead to longer drying times or ineffective drying.
Click steps to track your progress.
Clean the old ducts before installing the new dryer.
Ensure the exhaust vent is made of heavy-duty metal and all joints are sealed with duct tape.
Avoid sharp bends or long runs in the vent ducting; keep the route as short and straight as possible.
Verify the external vent opening is not blocked by lint, snow, or other obstructions.
Ensure the dryer is properly vented to the outside and not recirculating air.
