What does RUN light blinks slowly (1.5 sec ON, 0.5 sec OFF) mean?

During heating operation, the unit temporarily stops blowing air or blows non-warm air, and the RUN light blinks with this pattern. This is normal during the 'HOT KEEP' program to warm up the indoor heat exchanger or during automatic defrosting.

Common Causes

  • Indoor heat exchanger warming up (HOT KEEP program).
  • Automatic defrosting due to low outdoor temperature and high humidity.
