What does Clogged Filter mean?

A clogged air cleaning filter can prevent the air conditioner from working efficiently. This might lead to reduced cooling or heating performance, or frost forming on the air outlet vents of the indoor unit.

  • Air cleaning filter is clogged with dust or dirt.
  • The filter has not been washed for an extended period.

    Turn off the air conditioner unit.

    Carefully remove the air cleaning filter from the unit.

    Soak the air cleaning filter in water (use lukewarm water if it is very dirty) and rinse it gently without removing the filter from its frame.

    Allow the filter to dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.

  5. 5

    Resume normal operation.
