1302 (UE)

High pressure trouble - System high pressure detected

Mitsubishi Electric · PUMY Air Conditioners

What does 1302 (UE) mean?

This indicates that the air conditioner system has detected abnormally high pressure, either through the high-pressure switch (63H) or the high-pressure sensor (63HS). This can trigger a shutdown to protect the system.

Common Causes

  • Defective operation of stop valve (not fully open) or clogged/broken pipe in the refrigerant circuit.
  • Malfunction or locked outdoor fan motor, leading to poor heat dissipation, or short-cycling of the outdoor unit.
  • Dirt or obstruction on the outdoor heat exchanger, reducing its efficiency, or decreased airflow from indoor unit issues (clogged filter, locked fan motor).
  • Defective high-pressure sensor, or performance failure of the Indoor Linear Expansion Valve (LEV) or SV1 solenoid valve.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Turn OFF the air conditioner's power supply before proceeding with any checks.

  2. 2

Verify that the outdoor stop valves (liquid/gas lines) are fully open. If closed, open them completely.

  3. 3

Check if the outdoor fan motor is rotating properly during operation and clear any obstructions around the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

Inspect the outdoor heat exchanger for dirt, debris, or blockages and clean it if necessary.

  5. 5

Check if the indoor fan motor is rotating properly and ensure indoor unit filters are clean and free of obstructions.

  6. 6

If the problem persists, contact a qualified service technician as internal components like sensors, valves, or control boards may be faulty.
