U2 (1501) - Refrigerant shortage or closed valve in cooling mode

What does U2 (1501) mean?

The system detects a low refrigerant level or a valve that is inappropriately closed during cooling operation. The Mitsubishi Electric PUMY Air Conditioner system will automatically cease operating.

• Insufficient refrigerant in the system, possibly due to a leak
• Refrigerant valve that is accidentally or incorrectly closed
• Expansion valve issue during cooling operation

   Note the error code displayed on the remote controller or outdoor unit.

   Power off the Mitsubishi Electric PUMY Air Conditioner system at the main electrical breaker.

   Wait for at least 30 seconds, then restore power to the system.

   If the error persists, contact a qualified service technician to check refrigerant levels and valve positions.
