Red Status Lamp and Alarm Bell — A malfunction has occurred

What does Red Status Lamp mean?

When a malfunction occurs that the heat pump cannot fix itself, the status lamp changes from solid green to solid red. An alarm bell icon also appears in the information window on the display.

  • Malfunction that the heat pump cannot automatically remedy.

    On the display, turn the control knob and press OK to see the specific alarm type and access options.

    Select 'info / action' to read what the alarm means and get tips for correction.

  3. 3

    Try selecting 'reset alarm'. If the light turns green, the problem is resolved. If it remains red, the problem persists.

  4. 4

    If the alarm returns after resetting, refer to the troubleshooting section of your manual (page 62).

  5. 5

    If you need temporary heat/hot water, you can select 'aid mode', which uses the immersion heater, but note this does not correct the underlying problem.
