F15 — Outdoor fan motor lock abnormality

What does F15 mean?

The outdoor fan motor is detected as locked or not rotating properly. This error is triggered if detected 2 times within a 30-minute period.

Common Causes

  • Defective outdoor PCB (Printed Circuit Board).
  • Faulty outdoor fan motor.
  • Obstruction blocking the fan blades.

    Turn off the power supply to the unit at the main breaker immediately.

    Carefully check for any obstructions such as leaves, debris, or ice that might be blocking the outdoor fan's rotation.

  3. 3

    If safe to do so, try gently rotating the fan blade by hand (with the power OFF!) to see if it moves freely. Do not force it.

  4. 4

    If the fan does not move freely or the error persists, contact a qualified technician.
