What does F16 mean?

The outdoor unit's total running current has exceeded a safe limit, activating its protection mechanism. This occurs if the high current condition repeats 3 times within 20 minutes, causing the OFF/ON control panel LED to blink.

Common Causes

  • Excess refrigerant in the system.
  • Defective outdoor PCB (Printed Circuit Board).
