OFF/ON control panel LED blinks — Abnormality detected

What does OFF/ON LED blinks mean?

The Heat Pump system has detected an abnormality during operation. When this occurs, the system will stop, the OFF/ON control panel LED will blink, and a specific error code will be displayed on the control panel's Timer display LCD.

Common Causes

  • Various system malfunctions or protection control activations.
  • An unrepaired system abnormality after a previous reset attempt.

    Note the specific error code displayed on the control panel's Timer display LCD, then refer to the Error Code Table (pages 93-94) for details.

    Press the ERROR RESET button on the control panel to attempt to clear the error.

  3. 3

    If the error persists after resetting, turn off the power supply to the unit at the main breaker, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on.

  4. 4

    To review past error codes, turn on the power supply, then press and hold the CHECK button for more than 5 seconds to enter status mode, and use the SEARCH DOWN/UP buttons.
