Remote control does not work - No response or power indicator doesn't blink

What does Remote No Response mean?

The TV does not respond to commands from the remote control. The power indicator at the bottom of the TV may not blink when the remote's Power button is pressed.

Common Causes

  • Drained or incorrectly installed batteries in the remote control.
  • Remote control is not pointed directly at the TV or is too far away.
  • Samsung Smart Remote (Bluetooth Remote) is not paired with the TV.

    Check if the power indicator at the bottom of the TV blinks when you press the remote's Power button.

    Make sure that the batteries are installed with their positive (+) and negative (-) poles in the correct direction.

    Try pointing the remote directly at the TV from a distance of 5 to 6 feet (1.5 to 1.8 meters).
