What does Power indicator not blinking mean?

The TV is not responding to commands from its remote control. When you press the Power button on the remote, the power indicator at the bottom of the TV does not blink.

Common Causes

  • Remote control batteries are dead or low
  • Batteries are installed with incorrect polarity (+/-)
  • Remote control is too far or not aimed properly at the TV
  • Samsung Smart Remote (Bluetooth) is not paired with the TV

    Check if the power indicator at the bottom of the TV blinks when you press the remote's Power button. If it does not, replace the remote control's batteries.

    Make sure that the batteries are installed with their positive (+) and negative (-) poles in the correct direction.

    Try pointing the remote directly at the TV from a distance of 5 ft. to 6 ft. (1.5~1.8 m).

    If your TV came with a Samsung Smart Remote (Bluetooth Remote), ensure it is properly paired to the TV.
