MCP key press fault: Some keys on the MCP have no response

What does MCP key press fault mean?

Certain keys on the Machine Control Panel (MCP), such as '+' or '-', do not respond when pressed.

Common Causes

  • Damaged key (PLC status bit does not change upon press)
  • Other alarms or PLC program issues (PLC status bit changes but no action)

    Select the system data operating area on the HMI.

  2. 2

    Open the PLC status monitoring window through the following softkey operations.

  3. 3

    Check the PLC interface status for the affected key. If the PLC status bit does not change after pressing the key, replacement and maintenance are necessary as the key is damaged.

  4. 4

    If the PLC status bit changes, make further observations for other alarms or check if the PLC program is correct in a different position.
