What does Positioning error mean?

The operating position of the machine coordinate system is not accurate, leading to precision issues during operations.

Common Causes

  • Settings of machine data (MD31030, MD31050/MD31060) are inconsistent with actual mechanical parameters
  • Frequency multiplication on the drive encoder
  • Turret not installed properly on the machine
  • Loose mechanical coupling or slipping belt
  • Necessity to adjust compensation of leadscrew pitch and/or backlash

    Check whether the settings of machine data MD31030 (pitch of leadscrew) and MD31050/MD31060 (denominator/numerator of deceleration ratio) are consistent with actual mechanical parameters.

    Verify whether the turret is installed properly on the machine.

    Check whether the mechanical coupling is loose or the belt is slipping and secure them.

  4. 4

    Determine whether it is necessary to adjust the compensation of the leadscrew pitch and/or the backlash.
