What does Three (3) red blinks mean?

Three red blinks indicate that the Wall Connector has detected high temperatures. Charging may be limited or disabled to protect the unit from overheating.

Common Causes

  • Wall Connector operating in warm ambient conditions (above 50˚C or 122˚F)
  • Outdated firmware affecting optimal temperature sensing functionality
  • Excessive warmth in the faceplate or cable handle
  • Incorrect conductor sizing used during installation
  • Terminal block not torqued to specification

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify that the Wall Connector is connected to Wi-Fi to ensure it receives the latest firmware updates for optimal temperature sensing.

  2. 2

Check the Wall Connector faceplate and the charge cable handle for excessive warmth.

  3. 3

Have a qualified electrician remove the Wall Connector from the wirebox and verify the conductors used are sized correctly.
