F.27 - Safety switch-off: Flame simulation

What does F.27 mean?

The boiler has performed a safety shutdown because it detected a 'simulated flame signal' when there should have been no flame. This is a serious safety fault.

Common Causes

  • Moisture present on the electronics.
  • The electronics (flame monitor) are defective.
  • The gas solenoid valve is leaking.

    Press the reset button on the boiler display up to three times to try and clear the fault.

  2. 2

    Contact customer service immediately. This is a serious safety fault where a flame signal is detected even when there should be none, indicating a malfunction.

    A qualified technician will need to check for moisture on electronics and diagnose the flame monitor or gas solenoid valve.
