What does F.28 and flame symbol with cross mean?

The boiler has failed to ignite after multiple attempts during startup. The display will show 'F.28' and a flame symbol with a cross through it. This indicates a problem with the gas supply or ignition components.

• Faults in the gas supply (meter, pressure, air in gas).
• Gas flow pressure too low or fire protection tap disengaged.
• Faults in the gas valve, wrong gas setting, or defective igniter (transformer, cable, plug).
• Ionisation current stopped, faulty earthing, or defective electronics.

   Check that your gas supply to the boiler is fully turned on.

   Press and hold the reset button on the boiler for one second to clear the fault.

   If the boiler still shuts off after three reset attempts, contact a qualified service technician to inspect the gas supply and ignition system.
