F.54 - Insufficient gas supply

What does F.54 mean?

There is not enough gas supply reaching the boiler to allow it to operate. This fault often appears alongside F.28 or F.29.

Common Causes

  • One or more gas isolator cocks (valves) are closed.
  • The gas flow pressure is too low for the boiler to operate correctly.
  • The gas valve within the boiler is defective.

    Press the reset button on the boiler display up to three times to try and clear the fault.

  2. 2

    Check that all gas isolator cocks (valves) leading to the boiler are fully open.

  3. 3

    Ensure there is adequate gas flow pressure to the property and the boiler by checking other gas appliances or contacting your gas supplier.

  4. 4

    If the fault persists, contact customer service as the gas valve may be defective or there's an issue with the gas supply.
