F.61 - Gas valve actuation fault

What does F.61 mean?

The boiler is unable to actuate (open or close) the gas valve. This is a critical safety component.

Common Causes

  • The cable harness supplying power to the gas valve is defective (e.g., short to earth or short circuit).
  • The gas valve itself is defective.
  • The main Printed Circuit Board (PCB) in the boiler is defective.

    Press the reset button on the boiler display up to three times to try and clear the fault.

    Contact customer service immediately. This fault suggests an issue with the gas valve, its cabling, or the main PCB, which are all critical safety components.

    A qualified technician will need to inspect the cable harness for shorts and diagnose the gas valve or PCB.
