F.62 - Gas valve switch-off delay

What does F.62 mean?

The boiler has detected that the gas valve is taking too long to shut off, or the flame signal is lingering after shutdown.

Common Causes

  • The ignition and monitoring electrode indicates a delayed extinguishing of the flame signal.
  • The gas valve itself is defective.
  • The main Printed Circuit Board (PCB) in the boiler is defective.

    Press the reset button on the boiler display up to three times to try and clear the fault.

  2. 2

    Contact customer service immediately. This indicates a safety issue where the gas valve is slow to shut off, or the flame signal is delayed in extinguishing.

  3. 3

    A qualified technician will need to inspect the gas valve, the ignition/monitoring electrode, and the main PCB for proper function.
