F.83 - No/insufficient temperature change at flow/return sensors

What does F.83 mean?

When the burner starts, the boiler detects no or insufficient temperature change at the flow and/or return temperature sensors, indicating a potential issue with water content or sensor positioning.

Common Causes

  • Insufficient water present in the product (low system pressure).
  • Flow or return temperature sensor not in the correct position at the pipe.

    Press the reset button on the boiler display up to three times to try and clear the fault.

    Check the system pressure gauge on your boiler and ensure there is sufficient water in the heating system. Top up if necessary.

    Contact customer service. This fault suggests the flow or return temperature sensor might be incorrectly positioned or there's an issue with water circulation that requires professional attention.
