What does E8 mean?

The burner is in a fault mode because the ionization current is outside the allowed operating range.

• Issues with gas supply (pressure or flow limiter)
• Malfunctioning gas valve or its connecting lead
• Incorrect gas type allocation setting in the boiler
• Incorrect distance or contamination of the ionization electrode

   Press the reset button 'R' on the boiler.

   Ensure the gas supply to the boiler is open and that other gas appliances are working correctly.

   Contact a qualified heating technician to check the gas supply, gas valve, gas type allocation, and the ionization electrode (distance and contamination).
