Whirlpool · Cabrio Washing Machines

What does F0E4 mean?

Common Causes

  • Malfunctioning water valve allowing excessively hot water to enter.
  • Faulty temperature sensor (thermistor) providing an incorrect reading.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Allow the water inside the washer to cool down, then attempt to restart the cycle.

  2. 2

Verify that both hot and cold water supply hoses are connected correctly to the appropriate inlets.

  3. 3

Refer to TEST #2: Valves (page 6-7) to check water valve functionality for proper temperature regulation.
