F8E5 — Hot and Cold Water Hoses Reversed

What does F8E5 mean?

The washer detects that the hot and cold water inlet hoses are connected to the wrong ports on the back of the machine.

Common Causes

  • Inlet hoses connected incorrectly.
  • Temperature thermistor may be stuck in a low resistance range (internal component issue).
