F8E5 — Hot and Cold Water Hoses Reversed

What does F8E5 mean?

The washer detects that the hot and cold water inlet hoses are connected to the wrong ports on the back of the machine.

• Inlet hoses connected incorrectly.
• Temperature thermistor may be stuck in a low resistance range (internal component issue).

   Turn off both the hot and cold water supply faucets to the washer.

   Carefully switch the hot and cold water inlet hoses to their correct connections on the back of the washer.

   Turn the water supply back on and check for leaks at the connections before starting a new cycle.
