Machine won't drain water or spin clothes

What does Won't drain/spin mean?

The Zanussi WD 2290 Washing Machine fails to remove water or complete the spin cycle at the end of a program.

• The drain hose is sharply bent or kinked.
• The drain hose is placed in a way that obstructs normal water flow.
• The drain filter is clogged with lint or small objects.
• For gentle wash cycles, water draining may need to be manually activated.

   Inspect the drain hose for any sharp bends or kinks that could be obstructing water flow.

   Ensure the drain hose is not positioned in a way that impedes proper water drainage.

   Clean the drain filter, located at the bottom right-hand corner of the washer, to remove any fluff or small objects.

   If using a gentle wash cycle, turn the program selector knob to cycle 'P' (drain with gentle spin) or 'R' (drain without spin) to initiate water drainage.
