Warning Heat Pump Z1 limited by low heating medium flow (check filter)

Bosch · Heat Pumps

What does 5252 mean?

Your Heat Pump for zone 1 is operating with reduced performance due to insufficient heat transfer fluid flow. This can happen if the temperature difference (delta) is too high in heating or cooling mode.

Common Causes

  • Low system pressure or air trapped in the heating system.
  • Clogged system filter or filter ball (SC1).
  • Poor circulation in the heat transfer system or heating system.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Check the system filter and clean it if it appears dirty or blocked, as indicated by the warning.

  2. 2

Verify the system pressure. If it's low, vent the heating system as per your manual and top up with water.

  3. 3

Ensure all adjuster valves and radiator thermostats are open to allow for proper fluid circulation.
