Code 35-58 Compressor High Compression Lockout — System locked out due to extreme high compression ratio

What does 35-58 mean?

This lockout occurs when the high compression boundary is crossed while the system is already running at minimum capacity due to previous high compression events. The system will shut down for 2 hours.

Common Causes

  • Persistent overcharge of refrigerant.
  • Persistent coil blockage.
  • Persistent loss of airflow across the heat exchanger.
