AUXILIARY HEAT ACTIVE
AUXILIARY HEAT ACTIVE on display — Auxiliary heating is engaged
The system has automatically activated auxiliary electric heating. This occurs when outdoor temperatures are too low for the heat pump to efficiently warm your home, indicating normal operation in cold conditions. The red LED next to the HEAT button will also gradually pulse.
EMERGENCY HEAT
Emergency Heat choices on display — Heat pump malfunction or manual override
Emergency heat provides heating using electric resistance or a furnace. This mode is activated either because the main heat pump system has malfunctioned and heating is needed, or because the homeowner has manually selected this option. The display will show options like 'ELECTRIC HEAT ONLY' or 'FURNACE ONLY'.
