F11 — Error Code Display (ON/OFF setting)

Carrier · VVT-1T System

What does F11 mean?

This is a configuration option (F11 on the rotary switch) that controls whether Hardware Failure (HF) and Storage Failure (SF) diagnostic error codes are shown on the slave thermostat's display. If set to OFF, error codes will not be visible.

Common Causes

  • The setting was intentionally changed to OFF to hide error codes.
  • The system default setting for error code display is OFF, preventing error visibility.
  • Previous errors might have occurred when the display was OFF and are now hidden.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Turn the rotary switch of the slave thermostat to position F.
