SF 04 - Damper Maximum Open/Minimum Airflow Position storage failure

What does SF 04 mean?

A Storage Failure (SF) error, specifically SF 04, indicates that the slave thermostat's stored Damper Maximum Open Position and Damper Minimum Airflow Position settings have been corrupted or lost. The system will default to 15 (max open) and 5 (min airflow). These settings control the physical operation of the damper.

• Corruption of stored damper position data in the slave thermostat's memory.
• Power fluctuations or system reset causing data loss.
• Internal hardware fault affecting non-volatile memory.

   Establish communications with the slave thermostat using the PC Command Center software.

   Initiate a Device Inquiry for the slave thermostat to verify its current settings.

   Perform the 'Modify Device Information' command and navigate to the Damper Maximum Open Position and Damper Minimum Airflow Position settings.

   Re-enter the correct values for these damper settings.
