Error 32 — Indoor Unit PCB Model Information Error

Fujitsu · Air Conditioners

What does 32 mean?

This error indicates a problem with the indoor unit's Controller PCB model information or a failure to access the EEPROM. This can be caused by external factors or issues with electrical components.

Common Causes

  • External causes such as electrical noise or an improper ground connection.
  • Defective connection of indoor unit electric components.
  • Incorrect model information stored in the EEPROM or a failure to access it.
  • A faulty Controller PCB (Printed Circuit Board) itself.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Reset the power supply to the indoor unit by turning off the circuit breaker for the air conditioner for at least 30 seconds, then turn it back on.

  2. 2

Check the ground connection for the air conditioner unit. Also, identify if there's any equipment nearby that could cause electrical interference or harmonic waves (e.g., old fluorescent lights) and try temporarily turning them off.

  3. 3

If comfortable doing so, open the indoor unit's cover and visually inspect all electrical connectors. Ensure they are firmly seated and there are no visible signs of corrosion or loose wiring on the main PCB.
