Error 44 — Human sensor error

Fujitsu · Air Conditioners

What does 44 mean?

This error indicates a problem with the human sensor, specifically when the sensor signal is 'L' (0V) for more than 10 minutes, or detects an open condition. The outdoor unit shows no indication.

Common Causes

  • Loose, removed, or erroneous connection of the human sensor
  • sensor cable is open (broken)
  • Human sensor failure
  • Indoor unit Main PCB failure

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Check the connector connection of the human sensor and ensure it is not loose, removed, or erroneously connected. Reset power after correcting any issues.

  2. 2

Check the sensor cable for any breaks or open conditions.

  3. 3

If the sensor is disconnected, check the 2-3pin on the sensor connector for conduction. If there's conduction, the Main PCB may be faulty; if not, the sensor itself is likely faulty.
