Error 71 — Discharge Thermistor Error

What does 71 mean?

This error indicates a problem with the discharge temperature thermistor, either a short circuit or an open circuit. The outdoor unit shows no indication.

• Connector connection failure or open cable for the thermistor
• Discharge thermistor failure
• Main PCB failure

   Check the connector connection for the discharge thermistor and verify that the cable is not open or loose.

   If connections are secure, the thermistor itself may be faulty and need to be checked by a technician for proper characteristics.

   A technician can also check the voltage of the Main PCB (CN71:3-4 should be 5V) to diagnose Main PCB failure.
