Warning 93 — External sensor signal out of range

Grundfos · MAGNA3 Pump

What does 93 mean?

The pump is receiving a signal from an external sensor that is outside the normal operating range. This could also mean the sensor has been removed but the analog input is still active.

Common Causes

  • Mismatch between the external sensor's output signal (0-10V or 4-20mA) and the pump's analog input setting.
  • Damaged external sensor cable.
  • Incorrect cable connection at either the pump or the sensor.
  • External sensor has been removed, but the analog input has not been disabled in the pump's settings.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify that the electrical signal setting (0-10 V or 4-20 mA) in the pump's menu matches the external sensor's output signal. Adjust the analog input setting via the 'Assist' menu if needed (Page 34).

  2. 2

Check the external sensor cable for any signs of damage or wear.

  3. 3

Inspect the cable connections at both the pump and the external sensor to ensure they are correct and secure.

  4. 4

If the sensor has been removed, disable the analog input via the pump's 'Assist' menu, or replace the sensor with a working one.
