Haier Washing Machines

13 fault codes documented

ERR1

ERR1 — Hatch not closed or lock device failure

This error occurs when the Washing Machine cannot start washing because the door hatch is not properly closed. It can be due to a loosely pressed door, or a failure of the hatch lock device or latch.

ERR10

ERR10 — Hydraulic system malfunction, pressure switch failure

This error is associated with a malfunction of the hydraulic system. Unlike other codes, the filling valve functions normally, but in 99% of cases, the pressure switch (pressostat) is broken.

ERR2

ERR2 — Water not draining from the tank

This code appears when the Washing Machine is unable to drain water from the tank within the programmed time of 4 minutes.

ERR3

ERR3 — Water heating element not reaching temperature

This error means the Washing Machine's heating element is not able to heat water to the program's set temperature, or is not heating at all. It may indicate an issue with the thermal sensor or its power supply.

ERR4

ERR4 — Heating element (TAN) failure or no power

Similar to ERR3, this code indicates a problem with water heating. It specifically points to a burnt-out heating element (TAN) or a broken power supply to the heating element.

ERR5

ERR5 — Water not filling the tank

This error indicates that the Washing Machine is unable to pump water into the tub to the required level within a maximum of 8 minutes.

ERR6

ERR6 — Control module board malfunction

This error signifies a malfunction on the Washing Machine's control module board. It can be due to damaged tracks, faulty semiconductor elements, or loose contacts.

ERR7

ERR7 — Critical control module failure

This code indicates a critical malfunction where several parts of the control module have burned down simultaneously. This can happen, for example, as a result of a short circuit and is a more serious problem than ERR6.

ERR8

ERR8 — Too much water in the tank

This code indicates that there is too much water in the machine's tank. In most cases (97%), the faulty pressostat (pressure switch) is the culprit.

ERR9

ERR9 — Continuous water filling due to valve failure

This code, similar to ERR8, indicates too much water in the tank, but the causes are different. It means the liquid valve has burnt, or the triac controlling the filling valve is burnt, preventing the module from stopping water supply.

EUAR

EUAR — Serious control module malfunction or wiring bundle issue

This error usually indicates a serious malfunction within the control module itself. In more rare cases, it can also mean that the entire bundle of wires connected to the electronic module has burned out.

No salt

No salt — No powder in the detergent tray or clogged channel

This message indicates that there is no detergent powder in the tray. It can also mean that the powder channel is clogged, or the machine is reacting to low-quality powder.

UNB

UNB — Imbalance inside the drum

This code signals an imbalance within the Washing Machine drum. This usually happens when laundry is incorrectly distributed or if a single bulky, heavy item is being washed.
